Bainbridge Island, WA

A complex wall sculpture and cabinet made of 15 different woods, cast, stained, fluted and colored rod glass, fabrics, mirrors, and more. A rather "de-constructed" box that allows light in from various angles and "peeks" into the various chambers within. The composition was designed around a bottle of Absinthe, 2 vintage glasses and a wedge shaped space for a traditional Absinthe spoon and a reservoir on the right for sugar cubes -a traditional way to serve an unusual elixir. One glass rod is the approximate color of Absinthe when mixed with a trickle of water when the drink will "louche" an opalescent green. The glasses are not for sale with the piece.
