Black Limba Conference Table

$14,500.00
144 × 54 × 30 in

This Conference table was made for a conference room in a Seattle High Tech Company. It is made from Black Limba. The wood color can range from almost white to a streaky black. Its general background color is a beautiful soft gold color. The dark colored Limba is very sought after by instrument makers. The colored markings are all created by the intrusion of bugs into the standing tree. They burrow through leaving a place for moisture to enter the tree and cause discoloration. This kind of coloring is seen in maple with bug intrusion also. The table is made in four sections all joined together with Wenge Butterflies. This particular table needed to be made in two parts to be able to get into the conference room, so it was made in two L shaped pieces, prefinished and then assembled on location. Six of the butterflies were glued in prior to finishing and the last six were used to connect the two halves on location. The base is made from steel and then was powder coated to the clients specification. It could also be made with a variety of wooden bases. The box in the center of the table is for power, video and internet connections.
