For years, before I
had even seen the gallery in person, just knowing a gallery such
as this existed represented hope to me. It told me that, even
if I wasn't yet making furniture and selling it in a gallery, there were people out there successfully doing what I wanted to be doing. It represented a goal for which to strive. I am grateful for the inspiration the gallery and its members have provided and am very proud to be a part of the Gallery's 30th Anniversary show. |

In my work, I try to create
pieces that can be enjoyed from a distance but that also fulfill
the need to store precious items, no matter how small. My ideas
come on suddenly and clearly, often inspired by a shape. I thrive
on the close connection I feel toward my materials and the solitude
I find in my shop.
